What Do You Need Help With Today?

“Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.” Psalm 63:7

Have you ever felt helpless? Maybe because the problem you’re seems so big and you simply can’t figure a way out. Well, I have good news for you today! God is bigger.

I know this can sound like a cliché because we’ve heard it so often. But it’s important not to just glance over the fact. Instead, meditate on how powerful and loving our God really is and let the Truth of the Word marinate in our spirit. Think about it, the very God who placed the stars in the heavens has promised to be your ever-present help!

Imagine for a moment, that your loving earthly father is the richest person on earth with hundreds of billions of dollars in his accounts. Would you still worry about your finances?

While we may not all have billionaires as our earthly fathers, we can rest in the knowledge that our Heavenly Father is even greater! Whatever you need help with today, God is more than able to solve it for you.

There may be times when you can’t see a way out, and other times when the waves seem so boisterous that you can’t help but fear for your life. But it’s times like this that you need to remember, that you don’t need to have all the answers. Instead, look to Jesus – the proof of both God’s power, and His willingness to redeem you.

You don’t need to know how it’s scientifically possible for you to walk on water (whatever troubles you). You simply need to grab onto Jesus’ hand and let Him lift you up (solve your problems).

If one simple touch of Jesus’ garment is able to heal all ailments, imagine what a loving embrace from Him can do!

[See Matthew 14:22-34]

So whatever you’re worried about today, instead of focusing on it, turn your eyes (and thoughts) to Jesus. Meditate on His finished work. Saturate your thoughts with the love and power of God. And before you know it, the storm will have died and you’ll be safely back on land.

Be Greatly Blessed!

Prayer:

Father, thank you for being my ever-present help. No matter what I’m facing, I know that I can always count on you to bring me out on top.

For nothing is too difficult for you. No problem is too big for you. So I lay all my burdens at Jesus’ feet today and rejoice under the shadow of your wings.

Bless your Name Lord. You truly are my source of comfort and strength. May your presence, blessings, and favor, always be with me.

In Jesus’ Mighty Name,

AMEN!

Final Thoughts:

Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat, and to go ahead of him to the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. After he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into the mountain by himself to pray. When evening had come, he was there alone. But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, distressed by the waves, for the wind was contrary. In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus came to them, walking on the sea. When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It’s a ghost!” and they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying,  “Cheer up! It is I! Don’t be afraid.”

Peter answered him and said, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the waters.” He said, “Come!” Peter stepped down from the boat, and walked on the waters to come to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”

Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand, took hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” When they got up into the boat, the wind ceased. Those who were in the boat came and worshiped him, saying, “You are truly the Son of God!”

When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret. When the people of that place recognized him, they sent into all that surrounding region, and brought to him all who were sick; and they begged him that they might just touch the fringe of his garment. As many as touched it were made whole.
