“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)
Dearly beloved, are you living by the facts of the world? Or the Truth of God?
Jesus says that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. And that when we know the truth, we’ll be set free.
What is this truth that Jesus is referring to?
It’s Himself! It’s the redemptive work He did for us! It His salvation!
Have you noticed that facts can change over time? It’s based on our limited understanding of the universe.
For example, in the past, it was a fact that the earth is flat. It was a fact that the sun revolves around the earth. It was a fact that the surface of the moon is smooth. But now we know better, don’t we?
You see, the things we call facts are usually based on what we know and what we see.
But the Truth is based on what God knows and what God sees!
Which do you think is more accurate?
It may be a fact that you have sinned. It may be a fact that you’re sick. It may be a fact that bills are piling up and you have no idea how to pay them. It may be a fact that your relationships are strained.
But God’s Truth is this…
You’re the righteousness of God in Christ! By Jesus’ stripes, you’ve been healed! All your needs are provided for according to God’s riches in heaven! You’ve been showered with blessings to the overflowing!
So don’t just look at the facts. See beyond them and receive the Truth of God.
Be Greatly Blessed!

Action Steps:
Know the difference between the facts of the world and the Truth of God.
Facts may change. But God’s Truth will always remain.
Put your faith in God’s Truth, not on what you see, and you will surely see His promises come to pass in your life.
Let’s pray…
Prayer:
Father, open my eyes that I may see past the facts of the world.
Help me to accept and believe in your Truth.
For the facts of the world may change, but your Truth will always remain.
I choose to put my faith in you and your promises, not what my eyes see and my hands feel.
Let your Truth set me free from the bondage of the worldly facts.
For your thoughts are higher than my thoughts. And your ways are higher than my ways.
I receive your promises today. I gratefully receive all that Jesus died to give me.
Praise to you my Lord. Let your Truth saturate my life and be evident for all to see.
In Jesus’ Mighty Name,
AMEN!
