For God So Loved

“For god so loved the world, that he have his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16.

On a December night so many years ago a child was born. As we all know this was no ordinary child. Jesus demonstrated to his disciples the love of our Lord and what it meant to live as He would ask. From such a humble beginning he would show us how we should live our lives each day.

As we find moments to gather as family during the holidays let our focus not stray from the true meaning of these days. While it can be tempting to get caught up in thoughts of a new gift we may have received or some gossip we may have heard it should not be the focus of our lives.

Let us instead focus on spreading the joy we have in our hearts. May our gaze instead be toward the Lord and his love for us all. How can we spread this love today?

Let us pray for those with friends and family that could not be with them this year. Let us also pray for those going through a tough time right now. If you can think of someone in your life who may fit this description let them remain in your heart this week. Any day is a wonderful day to reach out and spread a little joy. So why not give it a try today?

Prayer:

“Lord, thank you for sending Jesus to this Earth. I thank you Jesus for dying for my sins so that I may be forsaken. Lord, help me to spread the joy you have given me to others in my life. There are many people who could use some help today. Help me to serve these people, build them up, and walk with them hand in hand. Thank you Lord for all that you do.”

In Jesus’ Mighty Name,

AMEN!

Final Thoughts:

May you live each day walking in the light of the Lord. May you find great happiness and joy through doing so. Matthew 1:21 states “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus; for he shall save his people from their sins.” Let the power of this not be lost upon us on this day!

If you have someone in your life that would benefit from hearing these words, please help spread the love of the Lord!

Be Greatly Blessed!
