‘When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the Lord.’ Exodus 34:29 (NIV).
Moses had descended from Mount Sinai after spending forty days and forty nights with the Lord. His face shone with radiance after spending time with the Lord, so much so that Moses had to put a veil over his face before the Israelites could speak with him. The people could clearly see God’s presence in their leader.
As we spend time in company with our Heavenly Father, our face may not light up as Moses did, but others will know by our behavior and words that we have been with God. Being in God’s ongoing presence through prayer, reading His word and being still and quiet before Him will change us.
The fruits of the Spirit, that God manifests, will be a part of who we are. His joy will make us joyous and given to celebration, His peace will transform us into peaceful people, His patience will cause us to be patient and long suffering, His kindness will make us kind, and so the list goes on.
Just as God is we will become as we give more of ourselves to Him. We will radiate the glory of God.
Prayer:
‘Dear Lord, I desire to live each day for you and with you. Thank you that you are the one who changes me as I simply avail myself to you. May others be able to tell that I have been with you. Let your life shine through me.’
In Jesus’ Mighty Name,
AMEN!

Final Thoughts:
For those of us who try in our own strength to manifest the fruits of the Spirit as discussed in Galatians 3:22-23, there is hope. We need not struggle anymore. In order to be filled with these beautiful qualities, we only need to soak ourselves in His presence; enjoy God’s company and allow Him to change us from the inside out.
Good intentions and trying alone will never work. Moses radiated the Lord’s glory not because he tried, but because he had simply sat with God. We can rest easy knowing that God works in us as we make ourselves available to Him.
Be Greatly Blessed!
