Boast In God’s Love For You

…“He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:31

What are you proud of in your life today? Your family? Your career? Maybe it’s your intelligence or your fitness? All of these are well and good. But at the same time, they’re transient. Yet through it all, God’s love for you remains constant.

The stock market may rise and fall. Challenges may come and go. But the fact that Jesus died so you may live will never change.

For the God who created the heavens and the earth will always hold you close to His heart. He numbers the hair on your head. He shelters you in the shadow of His wings.

His love for you will never change. So rest in the finished work of Christ – the greatest show of God’s love for you and be proud of your identity as the beloved child of God.

Prayer:

Father, thank you for loving me. My love for you may fail at times, but I know that your love for me never fails.

I’ll take glory in you. I’ll boast of your love for me. I’ll sing of your faithfulness. For you alone are worthy. You alone are my God. May all power, glory, and honor be to you, forever and ever.

In Jesus’ Mighty Name,

AMEN!

Final Thoughts:

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the lawyer of this world? Hasn’t God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom didn’t know God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe.

For Jews ask for signs, Greeks seek after wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews, and foolishness to Greeks, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God; because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

For you see your calling, brothers, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, and not many noble; but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world that he might put to shame the things that are strong.

God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that don’t exist, that he might bring to nothing the things that exist, that no flesh should boast before God. Because of him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption: that, as it is written, “He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.”
