“I gave you a land on which you had not labored, and cities which you didn’t build, and you live in them. You eat of vineyards and olive groves which you didn’t plant.” Joshua 23:13
Have you ever wondered why life can feel so difficult at times?
It can sometimes seem as if every good thing only comes about through strife and toil.
Genesis 3:19 says, ” You will eat bread by the sweat of your face until you return to the ground, for you were taken out of it. For you are dust, and you shall return to dust.”
And that’s the way many people seem to be living their lives.
But do you know that you’ve already been redeemed from this curse by the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ?
He has carried your yoke so that your burden may be light.
Why is it then that we still insist on carrying our problems on our own shoulders? Why is it that we can only put our heart and mind at ease when we can ‘see’ a way out of our problems?
Beloved, rest in the strong arms of our Lord today and let Him carry you to your promised land. For your blessings come by the grace of God, not by the strength of your own hand.
In fact, God is so eager to shower you with His blessings that He says…
“…test me now in this…see if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour out a blessing for you, that there will not be room enough to contain it. I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast its fruit before its time in the field…All nations shall call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land” Malachi 3:11-12
Realize that you’re already richly blessed through our Lord Jesus Christ. “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich.” 2 Corinthians 8:9
So relax…rest…rejoice in the Lord…and receive His superabundant grace today.
Be Greatly Blessed!
Prayer:
Father, thank you for your blessings and your promises.
Whenever I’m stressed, help me to remember that Jesus has already borne the curse of strife and toil when He hung on the Cross.
Teach me and guide me daily Lord, so that I’ll always remember that I’ve already been richly blessed through Jesus Christ.
Bless your Name Father. All glory be to you.
In Jesus’ Mighty Name,
AMEN!

Joshua 24:11-18
” ‘You went over the Jordan, and came to Jericho. The men of Jericho fought against you, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Girgashite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite; and I delivered them into your hand. I sent the hornet before you, which drove them out from before you, even the two kings of the Amorites; not with your sword, nor with your bow. I gave you a land on which you had not labored, and cities which you didn’t build, and you live in them. You eat of vineyards and olive groves which you didn’t plant.’
“Now therefore fear Yahweh, and serve him in sincerity and in truth. Put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River, in Egypt; and serve Yahweh. If it seems evil to you to serve Yahweh, choose today whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh.”
The people answered, “Far be it from us that we should forsake Yahweh, to serve other gods; for it is Yahweh our God who brought us and our fathers up out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and who did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way in which we went, and among all the peoples through the middle of whom we passed. Yahweh drove out from before us all the peoples, even the Amorites who lived in the land. Therefore we also will serve Yahweh; for he is our God.”
